Position Title: Waterfront Engineering Manager

Position Duties:

Manages 4 (four) subordinate Civil Engineers and 2 (two) CAD Draftsmen (Engineer Techs.) in the inspection of concrete/timber/steel piles, seawalls, wharfs & dolphins, assessment of the degree/reason for deterioration, interpretation of findings and recommendation of repairs utilizing knowledge of marine structures. Plans and oversees geotechnical investigations and directs subordinates in performance of same. Oversees structural analysis & design of steel/concrete/timber waterfront structures, waterfront bulkheads & seawalls as performed by subordinates and sub-contractors. Designs and oversees the implementation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant ferry facilities. Ensures subordinate staff conforms to standard engineering practice for structural designs & preparation of contract drawings/technical specifications for solicitation of bids for construction projects. Assists clients with defining project goals, planning & construction management & serves as a liaison with clients & regulatory authorities. Must possess practical experience performing the above listed civil engineering duties in order to successfully perform this managerial position. Responsible for critical managerial duties including hire, fire & promotion. Also requires experience with 2D/3D structural analysis software (STAAD Pro or similar) & AutoCAD.B.S. in Civil Engineering or Structural/Geotechnical Engineering plus 60 months experience in the job or as a Structural Engineer, Bridge Design Engineer, Civil Engineer or other related position in marine engineering.

Rate of Pay: $83,000 per year The employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage, as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor

ENGINEER / DIVER – Full Time Staff level:

Candidate must be an experienced diver with a BS Engineering Degree with a concentration or interest in structural and marine work. Experience in AutoCADD a plus. WATERFRONT ENGR 4-6 years exp:

Candidate should be a registered Professional Engineer or obtain it in near future. Needs to have strong structural background with steel and concrete design.
